Brian Timmer was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He grew up in the small town of Wayland. Brian became seriously interested in art and music during high school. He chose to pursue his creative interests by attending Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In 2003, Brian graduated with his Bachelor degree in Fine Arts.

After college, Brian married his wife and fellow artist, Betsy Timmer. They both moved to Lawrence, Kansas in 2005. Betsy is working toward her Master of Fine Arts degree. Brian currently works as an ophthalmic technician at a private practice. He has also decided to continue his education. Brian attends Calvary Theological Seminary in Kansas City and is working on a Master of Divinity degree.

In his spare time, Brian takes guitar lessons, paints, and reads. He specifically enjoys focusing on philosophy, theology, and human behavior.
